We often forget that we are surrounded by art. The cereal box from your breakfast - art. The clothes in your closet - art. The design on your textbook or backpack - art. We are literally surrounded with people's creations.
List 10 examples of art around you right now.

Message Board Topic: Tuesday, March 20 at 2:20 in room 1202
Tuesday, March 20 is Art Club.
What would make you want to join Art Club?
Should we have an Art Club? Why or why not?
If you were to join it - what would you like to do in Art Club?
Why do students join clubs? Why don't then join clubs?

Message Board Topic: Art School
What are the benefits of attending an art college? What are the downsides? Are you interested in attending an art college? Why or why not? What will be your major (even if you are not entering an art school)?
We have seen several presentations this year from schools - which ones impacted you the most? Why?

Message Board Topic: Smart Fabric
E-textiles, also known as electronic textiles or smart textiles, are fabrics that enable computing, digital components, and electronics to be embedded in them. Some are meant as fads (like incorporating LED lights in a sweater) where others are revolutionizing how we view "fabric." Some can control the temperature of the clothing, some are water resistant, and some are called "whereable computers."
Here are two sites which explore this idea:
http://www.futurity.org/top-stories/smart-fabrics-transistors-from-cotton/
http://www.ccm.ece.vt.edu/etextiles/
What are the implications of this technology? What could we use an e-fabric or e-textile for? What do you predict "they" will be able to do with this tech? How about in the fashion industry or other arts - where might we see this used?
