Visual Comunication is defined as: "communication through visual aid and is described as the conveyance of ideas and information in forms that can be seen or viewed." We actually see visual communication through all of human history ranging from cave paitnings to websites. How is visual communication different than verbal, written or gestural? How is it limited? How is it easier to use than verbal or written?
visual communication requires more thought to understand, and people can have diffrent ideas about what the photo is about.
ReplyDeletethe visual communication is different from verbal due to the fact that you use your eyes to convey the meaning or message instead of your eyes. also the visual is limited at times to what the arist wants to convey and what the viewer is able to see and determine, therefore the meaning may differ too much. visual is easier to convey the message in a mass and with color, effects and usually is able to maintain the viewer attention for longer. (:
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes down to visual communitcation it is a way to express emotions, actions, and ideas. Visual communication is actually a better way to express these ideas because you can see and analize what you are looking at. Someone can talk and talk about something, but if you see something for yourself you can actually feel the emotions of the artist. It is easier to use visual communication because sometimes it is hard to put things in to words or to write things down. But what you can do is present what you are thinking with an image. That is why visual comunication is actually better to use.
ReplyDeleteVisual communication is different than verbal because with visual communication you express yourself through drawings, pictures, and colors. Verbal you just explain what's in your mind. It's easier to use written because you can just write what you picture in your mind. Visual is limited though because you can't explain it and some people might look at it differently.
ReplyDeleteIts better to use visual communication because when your talking to someone its easier to see their emotion when you can look at them but when your texting, using the internet, or writting someone you cant excatly tell what they were feeling.
ReplyDeleteVisual communication is different than verbal, because often you can get mixed up in what the person is trying to say. It's limited because not a lot of people can understand by just looking at something you've created, but then again it's easier because maybe you don't exactly want the other people to know what's going on.
ReplyDeleteVisual communication doesn't really differ from verbal, written or gesural. I feel like Visual Communication kind of sums up verbal, written, and gesteral communication. Visual Communication is expressing yourself through art or some other expressent and it's easier because its how you feel so it comes to you easy and it's not like you have to think of the right words to say because its all visual. I couldn't find the right words to write this out.
ReplyDeleteMy dad has always told me, you can't have a good relationship unless you have good communication. Which he is right in a sense, because you need to express your feelings, and talk to people to keep your relationship stable. blogging, isn't communication unless its visual. Visual is also much easier then verbal, its hard to tell someone how you really feel. Visual is easy because you can express yourself without confronting the person. Blogging is also limited because, you can't see or feel peoples expressions or their voice tone, its like texting. you can have an argument on texting and say things you'd never even think of saying, but when you're in person together, you talk, or work it out because you can see how you're hurting the other person, unless you're cruel.
ReplyDeletevisual communication is all about the opinion and audience who is viewing it. the voice of the piece comes from the viewers past experiences, weather that be good or bad... the memories that form the individual into who they are today... more likely than not if you sat an 8 year old child and 80 year old man side by side and told them what the picture makes them feel or what it reminds them of, they're not going to have the same views of the piece. Simply over the fact that the child has not seen what the man has seen and the man has not seen what the child has.
ReplyDeletenow, verbal, written or gestural communications does not leave such a vast expanse open for discussion. You are being told what’s what, and you do not have to guess. It has its limitations because if the audience doesn’t not know what you’re trying to say through the visual piece, then the point has totally been missed.
