The “Happy Accident” refers to a serendipitous moment artist’s often experience – meaning something happens in their work which they had not expected or planned for. Often these kinds of moments produce some of the most wonderful pieces. However, there is in an argument that these “happy accidents” are not really in the control of the artist – they just happen (hence, serendipity). Do you think Happy Accidents are good things? Do you think the artist should take credit for them? Or do you think the artist should throw away works that do not bare their original intention?
when it comes down to it these accidents are suppose to happen because they did. they should just throw away their art work just because an accident occured. they should just work with what happened and make it a part of there work. everything happens for a reason. maybe that is why so many artist are good at what they do. because they work with their art to make it the way it is.
ReplyDeleteI think artist's accidental art is worth keeping because it's something no one expects and it takes the veiwer by surprize. A big part of art is starting something with an open mind and ending it with an unexpected reaction to the creation.
ReplyDeleteI think "Happy Accidents" are good things because they can make the photo better and the artist can take credit for the photo because they still took the photo and its still there work.
ReplyDeleteI think Happy Accidents are good things because it can make you feel that much more accomplished with what you're doing. The artist should take credit; just because they didn't notice the accident at the time doesn't mean they can't notice they've done it later.
ReplyDeleteI think happy accidents are good things. They are good things because you can create amazing photos from them. I would not call it an accident because no matter what the photographer was the one taking the picture. Artist should take credit because they took the picture, even though it was not their original thought.
ReplyDeletei think happy acciedents are amazing, and the artist should take full credit of them. The way i see it is that if your photographing, lighting placement, timing, and framing are all something a photographer has to have in mind. if none of those were part of the proccess you couldnt call your a piece a piece, because it wouldnt exsist. you have to be in the right place in the right time, but you caputured it and noone else did so its yours
ReplyDeleteI think "happy accidents" is a great thing for any artist regardless of the type of media they are using. It is very true that artist have a general outline for an envision they have, but i think thats what art is all about. Having a certain concept and just winging it. Myself, as a drummer, the way i play music is litteraly "going with the flow" Alot of times thats how i come up with creative fills and beats...sipmly me goofing off behind my set.
ReplyDeletei think that happy accidents are good things, are very good things actually, i think in those moments there is an instance of pure photography; real, unplanned and true photography. yes an artist should take credit for them, it is still art and still their work. i also believe they should bare their original intention as well to make the art unchanged with the original inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI think they can be good things somtimes, even though you dont intend for it to happen it can often turn out looking better then you thought. The artist should still take credit for them, and shouldnt throw away the artwork even though it wasnt your original intention
ReplyDeleteI think that happy accidents are a good thing. I don't think that an artist should have to throw away the pictures he/she took just because it unexpectently turned out better then planned. Sometimes having a little unexpectedness is better then what was planned to begin with. I don't think a photographer should be punished for that. I feel like it should be the opposite of that. It should be looked praised in a way.
ReplyDeleteYes i think that happy accedents are a good thing, i think the artist should take credit for it bc they are the one who worked on it, weather it was an accedent or not. they definatly should not throw away the work.
ReplyDeleteYes? Why should they not?
ReplyDeleteAll of my photos, well most, are happy accidents.
There is a creative vibe still channeling through them, whether it is intentional or not, it's still there. Everyone can create art, some are just better than others. I think the ones who do it by accident are more creative because they can create wonderful things from accident, unintentional actions.
